Pros and cons
Pros
- Unlimited data starts at €9.90, and Telemach ranks at 19 of 173 brands on that measure.
- Entry plans start at €3.99, and the brand sits at 76 of 258 brands on that figure, so the entry point is not what carries the ranking.
- Sim only lines are offered, so a handset you already own can stay in use.
- 5G and an eSIM are both offered, so current phones can be activated on the network directly.
- A multi line discount is available, which suits households running several lines.
Cons
- Billing runs on contract and prepaid only, so there is no rolling month to month option and prepaid is the short commitment route.
- Every plan on sale runs 24 months, so the price agreed at the start is tied in for the full term.
- EU roaming runs on fair use terms, so travel heavy months can cost more than the monthly figure suggests.
- Reference plan prices cover only VEC, SE VEC and NAJVEC, all sold on the 24 month term rather than anything shorter.
Who it suits
- Slovenian households that want unlimited data without shopping through reseller catalogues.
- People bringing their own handset, since sim only lines are offered.
- Families adding lines, where a multi line discount is available.
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants rolling monthly billing: yesss! bills on contract, rolling and prepaid, while Telemach bills on contract and prepaid only.
- Buyers chasing the lowest entry figure: Lonestar Cell MTN lists a price from of $0.20, below Telemach's €3.99 but set in another currency.
Plans and prices
Entry pricing starts at €3.99, and unlimited data starts at €9.90. The two figures sit a long way apart, which says the cheap end of the Telemach range is not the unlimited end. Weights matter here: the entry number tells you how little a line can cost to open, while the unlimited number is what a full month of data actually runs to.
How it compares on our data
On price from, Telemach sits at 76 of 258 brands, comfortably inside the field rather than defining it. On unlimited price it sits at 19 of 173. The distance between those two positions is the useful part: the entry plan is ordinary, the unlimited price is the reason to look here.
Core features
Sim only lines are offered, so you can keep the handset you already own. 5G is available on the network, and an eSIM can be set up for devices that take one. A multi line discount is available, which helps households adding lines for family members. The list is short, but it covers what most people use day to day: no handset tie in, current radio access, and several lines on one account.
The company behind it
The provider is Telemach Slovenija d.o.o., headquartered in Slovenia, so the contract sits with a Slovenian company. Support runs on email, chat and phone, covering email, chat, phone and a help centre, which means a query can be sent in writing or raised by voice with the same organisation that supplies the connection.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest plan Telemach sells?+
The entry price is €3.99. That is the floor of the Telemach range rather than a headline tariff, and it sits well below the unlimited plans, so it tells you how cheaply a line can start rather than what a full month of data costs. Lonestar Cell MTN, for comparison, lists a price from of $0.20.
How much does unlimited data cost?+
Unlimited plans start at €9.90. On our data Telemach sits at 19 of 173 brands on that measure, which is why the unlimited figure is the one to weigh instead of the entry price. The reference plans named VEC, SE VEC and NAJVEC are the ones to compare side by side.
How long am I tied in?+
The plans on sale run 24 months, so the price agreed at the start is committed for the full term. Telemach bills on contract and prepaid, and the prepaid option is there for anyone who would rather not commit to the whole period.
Can I pay monthly without a long contract?+
Billing runs on contract and prepaid only, so contract and prepaid are the two routes, and there is no rolling month to month option here. That is the one place yesss! pulls ahead of Telemach, since its billing is listed as contract, rolling and prepaid and that set includes a rolling arrangement.
Do I need a new phone to sign up?+
Sim only lines are offered, so nothing ties you to a handset, and an eSIM can be activated without a store visit. 5G is available on the same network, and the seller type here is network, so the plan and the SIM come from the same company rather than a separate reseller.
What happens when I travel in the EU?+
EU roaming runs on fair use terms, which sits between fully included data and roaming billed as extra use. Frequent travel can therefore cost more than the monthly figure implies, and anyone who needs roaming handled should read the terms before signing up for 24 months.
Is there a discount for several lines?+
A multi line discount is available, so households running several lines can bring the per line cost down. It sits alongside the billing options, contract and prepaid, so it applies whether the lines sit on a contract or on a prepaid arrangement. That makes Telemach a sensible fit for family accounts.
Who is Telemach and where is it based?+
The provider is Telemach Slovenija d.o.o., based in Slovenia, and support runs on email, chat and phone, so a query can go by email, chat, phone or the help centre. Plans are priced in euros for a Slovenian market, so the contract and the network coverage sit in a single country.
