Orange Jordan review

Entry pricing starts at JOD 13.73 a month. That figure belongs to the longest contract version of the Ma'ak line. The shorter terms on the same line carry a higher monthly figure, and the prepaid version is the most expensive of the options, so the headline number and the contract length are tied together.

They do. The Ma'ak line is offered at each of the available term lengths, and the monthly figure falls as the term extends, so the longest contract is the cheapest per month and the shortest term the dearest. The lengths on offer are listed as 1, 12 and 24.

Yes. Billing can be set up as a contract or as prepaid, contract and prepaid, and the prepaid version of the Ma'ak line runs for a single billing period at a time. It costs more per month than either contract option, which makes prepaid a fit for anyone who wants to move or switch without being tied in.

The line is sold as sim only, so the monthly figure covers the SIM and the data allowance and nothing more. That works for anyone with a compatible phone already, and for people moving across from another network who only need the service switched onto a fresh SIM or an eSIM.

Data rollover is available, so unused data carries into the next billing period instead of expiring. On a line sold around a fixed data allowance that removes the sting from a light month, since the balance is still there when the next period starts.

Both are available. An eSIM can be set up alongside physical SIM lines, which is handy for a spare number or a phone already on file with the network. The network also carries 5G, which recent handsets can use in Jordan wherever that service has been deployed.

The service is sold in Jordan alone, listed as JO, and the company behind it sits in Jordan. Residents can buy straight from the network, but the tariff does not travel, so anyone whose data is used in other countries needs a plan built around that instead.

Help runs on email, chat and phone, covering a phone line and a help centre as well as email and live chat. A question about billing, data or a SIM can go through whichever of those suits you, and the same channels handle changes while a contract is running.

There are 3 alternatives listed, including GETESA, Lonestar Cell MTN and yesss!. Orange Jordan's entry figure of JOD 13.73 is worth setting against theirs, and the comparison is most useful when billing type is weighed alongside the headline price rather than the headline price alone.
