Pros and cons

Pros

  • Plans start at ALL 2,400 a month, and the setup fee is ALL 0.
  • The technology is fttp, which keeps the line consistent under heavy load.
  • Top download speed reaches 10,000 Mbps, and upload runs 20 to 1,000 Mbps.
  • The included kit is Wi-Fi 6 included, so there is nothing extra to buy at the start.
  • The site listing puts Abissnet at 1 on 114 brands for max download speed.

Cons

  • It runs in AL only, so a plan cannot be taken to another country.
  • The published speed ladder ends at 10,000 Mbps, so there is no higher tier above it.
  • Contract lengths run 12 and 24, so there is no short rolling agreement to leave on.

Who it suits

  • Households in Albania that want a straightforward fibre line with a free setup fee.
  • Home workers and households sharing files, given upload speeds of 20 to 1,000 Mbps.
  • Anyone who wants the entry price of ALL 2,400 without a joining charge.

Who should look elsewhere

  • People outside AL, as the service is not offered there.
  • Renters who want a short rolling agreement, since contracts run 12 and 24.
  • Households wanting cable alongside fibre, as Astound also offers cable and fttp.

Plans and prices

The entry plan is priced at ALL 2,400 a month, and the setup fee is ALL 0, so nothing else lands on the first bill. That makes the monthly figure the whole entry outlay rather than a teaser rate with charges stacked underneath it. Reference plan prices climb in clear steps from an entry tier through a middle tier to a top tier, and the published list shows the top tier carrying the largest download and upload figures of the three. Every listed plan sits on the shorter contract term. Contract lengths on the site are 12 and 24, so a longer commitment is available alongside the shorter one, and anyone who expects to move should check which lengths apply to the tier they want. Because there is no joining cost, the entry price is simple to set against a cable plan from Astound or a multi-technology line from EarthLink, where hardware or setup can shift the real first-year total.

Core features

Top download speed reaches 10,000 Mbps, the highest figure in this comparison, so streaming several streams at once, large downloads and backups all have headroom on the upper plans. Upload runs 20 to 1,000 Mbps across the plans, and that range often matters more than the download figure for anyone who backs up a laptop, sends large files or runs video calls from home. The lower end of the range is enough for everyday calls and cloud backup, while the upper end suits a busy shared connection. What the ladder buys you in practice is choice: a household with a couple of people can start at the entry plan and step up only if streaming or remote work demands it, without changing provider or rewiring the connection.

The company behind it

Abissnet is based in Albania and has been trading since 1998, which places it among the longer established fibre operators in its home market. The service runs in Albania, a single market, so coverage is concentrated in a single country rather than spread across several. That focus is a strength for network consistency and a limit for anyone who moves. The company also sells its own network connection rather than reselling another provider's line. Support is available on phone, email and chat, so help is reachable without waiting on a postal reply. The site listing scores the provider 9.5 overall, with 9.5 on the offer side and 9.5 on trust.

Frequently asked questions

What does the entry Abissnet plan cost?+

The entry plan starts at ALL 2,400 a month, and the setup fee is ALL 0. The published plans step up from that base point, so the monthly figure you see quoted is also the whole cost carried onto the first bill.

Is there a joining or setup charge?+

The setup fee is ALL 0, so there is nothing to pay before the service starts. Together with the entry price of ALL 2,400, that keeps the first-year cost of an Abissnet line straightforward to compare with another provider's total.

How quick is the connection?+

Top download speed reaches 10,000 Mbps. The published plans step from an entry tier through a middle tier to a top tier, and each step adds download headroom, so the top tier suits a household streaming and uploading heavily at the same time.

How good is the upload speed?+

Upload runs 20 to 1,000 Mbps across the plans. The lower end of that range covers video calls and cloud backup for a typical household, while the upper end suits people who push large files regularly or run a busy shared connection.

Do I have to sign a long contract?+

Plan contract months come in 12 and 24. A longer term sits alongside the shorter one, so if you expect to move home soon, ask which lengths apply to the tier you want before you sign anything.

Where does Abissnet operate?+

The service runs in AL and the company is based in Albania. It is a single market operation, so plans cannot be taken to another country and coverage is concentrated in one place.

How do I reach support?+

Support runs on phone, email and chat, so phone, email and chat cover most contact needs. The company has been operating since 1998, which means the contact routes are in place well before you sign up.

Is a router provided with the plan?+

A router comes as part of the service, and the listed kit is Wi-Fi 6 included, so there is nothing extra to buy on day one. Combined with a setup fee of ALL 0, the entry cost is simply the monthly price from ALL 2,400.
