Our verdict
Klein is a tightly scoped gas supplier: it operates in Canada and VA, sells gas, and answers on email and phone. It suits households in those states that want gas alone and a named company, Wave Energy Services, behind the contract; anyone needing electricity alongside gas is better served by Powerpeers or Endesa.

Pros and cons
Pros
- The company behind the brand is named, Wave Energy Services, so there is a legal entity to check against a bill or a contract.
- Coverage is stated plainly at CA and VA, which makes availability easy to confirm before spending time on a quote.
- Support runs on email and phone, giving a written record and a spoken option for the same kind of query.
- For a gas-only household, gas keeps the quote narrow, and the same fuel sits inside what Endesa lists in electricity and gas.
- Based in the United States, Klein keeps one company behind the whole footprint listed at CA and VA.
Cons
- Electricity is not in gas, so anyone wanting gas and electricity together is better served by Powerpeers, which sells electricity and gas.
- Klein operates in Canada and VA only, so a household in any other state has no Klein supply to compare.
- Support is limited to email and phone, with no chat desk or self-service help centre listed alongside them.
Who it suits
- Gas-only households in CA and VA that want a supplier dealing in a single fuel.
- People who prefer written and spoken contact, since support runs on email and phone.
- Buyers who want a named company behind the contract, Wave Energy Services, based in the United States.
Who should look elsewhere
- Dual-fuel households, who can get electricity as well from Powerpeers, which sells electricity and gas.
- Households outside CA and VA, who will find no Klein supply in their state.
- Shoppers who want chat or a self-service help centre, since Klein lists email and phone and nothing else.
The company behind it
Klein trades as a brand, and the company behind it is Wave Energy Services, headquartered in the United States. The legal entity is worth checking before you sign, since a brand name alone does not say who holds the supply contract. Support runs on email and phone, covering queries sent by email and calls placed by phone, with no chat desk or self-service help centre among the listed channels. That mix suits readers who want a written record of an answer, and a question can still be chased by phone if the email goes quiet.
How Klein compares
Frequently asked questions
Who is behind Klein?+
Klein is a brand name, and the company behind it is Wave Energy Services, headquartered in the United States. That legal entity is the name to look for on a bill or a supply contract, because the brand name alone does not say which company holds the account. It gives anyone checking before they sign a clear starting point.
Which US states does Klein supply?+
Klein supplies CA and VA. Coverage stops at those states, so a household living anywhere else has no Klein option to price up, however its unit rate compares. Anyone outside the footprint would need to weigh suppliers operating on their own local market rather than assume a nationwide reach.
What fuel does Klein sell?+
Klein sells gas. Electricity is not in that range, which keeps the quote narrow and simple for a gas-only household but rules the brand out for anyone who wants gas and electricity from a single supplier. It is a specialist choice rather than a full account option.
How do I get hold of Klein?+
Support runs on email and phone, so a query can be sent as an email or raised by phone, and both routes sit with Wave Energy Services. There is no chat desk or self-service help centre listed alongside them, which makes Klein a poor fit for readers who prefer live text support and would rather look elsewhere.
Would a dual-fuel household pick Klein?+
Probably not. The Klein range is gas, while Powerpeers sells electricity and gas and Endesa sells electricity and gas. A household wanting electricity and gas on one account has better options at either of those suppliers, and electricity-ratings also lists electricity and gas for the same reason.
How does Klein compare with the alternatives listed?+
The difference is fuel rather than support. Each alternative on this page carries electricity alongside gas, in electricity and gas, electricity and gas and electricity and gas. Klein, with gas and coverage limited to CA and VA, is the specialist pick rather than a general market option.
What do unit rates and standing charges look like across the site?+
Across the listings on the site the median unit rate is €0.17 and the median standing charge is €14.98. Those figures set the yardstick for any Klein quote: a standing charge above the site median still costs money in a quiet month, while unit rates above €0.17 weigh heavier on homes that use a lot.
