Pros and cons
Cricket Wireless
Pros
- A credit check is not required, which opens the door for buyers with little or no credit history.
- Hotspot sharing, wifi calling, eSIM and 5G come as standard on the plans listed, not as paid extras.
- Sim only service means you can keep the handset you already own and pay only for the plan.
Cons
- Billing is prepaid only, so there is no rolling monthly or contract invoice structure to fall back on.
- As an MVNO, mvno, coverage and speeds come from the AT&T network rather than from Cricket Wireless itself.
- Contract terms run 1 and 12, so the longer prepaid option locks you into a fixed schedule.
O2 CZ Datamanie
Pros
- Entry pricing starts at CZK 199 on prepaid billing.
- An eSIM, 5G and sim only are all available, so a handset you already own keeps working.
- No credit check is needed to start the line.
Cons
- Roaming in Europe runs on fair use terms rather than being included, so frequent travel abroad costs extra.
- Plan terms are 1 month, so plans renew on a short cycle with no longer term to hold a lower price.
- Service is confined to CZ, so the line does not travel beyond the Czech Republic.
Who each suits
Cricket Wireless
Who it suits
- US prepaid buyers who want unlimited data without a credit check.
- People bringing their own phone, since sim only and an eSIM are both offered.
- Households adding several lines, where a multi line discount applies.
Who should look elsewhere
- Buyers who want a network operator rather than an MVNO: GETESA sells as network and yesss! as network, while Cricket Wireless is mvno.
- Anyone who needs a rolling or contract bill rather than prepaid: Cricket Wireless has no such structure, and Lonestar Cell MTN is a network seller.
O2 CZ Datamanie
Who it suits
- Readers in the Czech Republic who already have a phone and only need a line for calls and data.
- People who want to activate a prepaid line without a credit check or a long commitment.
- Travellers in Europe whose roaming is occasional rather than everyday.
Who should look elsewhere
- getesa, if you want a contract tariff alongside prepaid, since its billing options are prepaid and contract.
- yesss!, if you want rolling billing, since its billing options are contract, rolling and prepaid while this line is prepaid only.
- lonestar-cell-mtn, if you need a plan that serves a wider set of countries, since this line runs on CZ alone.

Questions about each
Cricket Wireless
How much does a Cricket Wireless plan cost a month?+
Plans start at $15 a month, and the Unlimited plan is listed at $15. The two figures match, so the entry point is not a lower teaser that steps up later: the starting rate and the unlimited rate read the same. Both are monthly figures.
How long is the term on a plan?+
Contract terms run 1 and 12, so there is a monthly option alongside a longer prepaid term. Take the shorter term if you want to keep changing your mind, and the longer term if you would rather settle into a fixed schedule. Prepaid describes how you pay, not how long you commit.
O2 CZ Datamanie
How much does O2 CZ Datamanie cost to start?+
Plans start at CZK 199 on prepaid billing, with plan terms of 1 month. Because billing is prepaid, you pay for the period you want and nothing beyond it, so no minimum spend has to be reached before the line is live.
What does the unlimited data plan cost?+
The Datamanie NEO plan gives unlimited data for CZK 499 and renews on a short cycle. If your data use swings from month to month, that flat cost removes the guessing, while the capped plan at CZK 199 suits steadier, lighter use.
