Pros and cons
Chattr SIM Only
Pros
- £5 is the entry price on the SIM only plan, and No price hikes means the renewal bill does not climb
- included roaming across 43 countries comes as standard rather than as an add-on
- Rolling billing on a term of 1-month means the line can end without an exit charge
Cons
- Support runs on email only, so a question with no quick email answer waits for a reply
- Service covers GB alone, so the SIM does not work for a trip outside the UK unless roaming applies
- Chattr SIM Only is an mvno on the O2 network, so coverage follows the host rather than a network of its own
O2 CZ Datamanie
Pros
- Entry pricing starts at CZK 199 on prepaid billing.
- An eSIM, 5G and sim only are all available, so a handset you already own keeps working.
- No credit check is needed to start the line.
Cons
- Roaming in Europe runs on fair use terms rather than being included, so frequent travel abroad costs extra.
- Plan terms are 1 month, so plans renew on a short cycle with no longer term to hold a lower price.
- Service is confined to CZ, so the line does not travel beyond the Czech Republic.
Who each suits
Chattr SIM Only
Who it suits
- Anyone in GB already holding a handset and happy to bring their own SIM
- Travellers who want included across 43 countries without a roaming add-on
- People who need a credit check free line and prefer rolling billing over a locked contract
Who should look elsewhere
- GETESA, Lonestar Cell MTN and yesss! sell as networks rather than an mvno, so buyers wanting the host's own support and shop presence should look there first
- Phone buyers wanting a handset bundled with the line, as this offer is SIM only
- People wanting phone or chat support, since help runs on email alone
O2 CZ Datamanie
Who it suits
- Readers in the Czech Republic who already have a phone and only need a line for calls and data.
- People who want to activate a prepaid line without a credit check or a long commitment.
- Travellers in Europe whose roaming is occasional rather than everyday.
Who should look elsewhere
- getesa, if you want a contract tariff alongside prepaid, since its billing options are prepaid and contract.
- yesss!, if you want rolling billing, since its billing options are contract, rolling and prepaid while this line is prepaid only.
- lonestar-cell-mtn, if you need a plan that serves a wider set of countries, since this line runs on CZ alone.

Questions about each
Chattr SIM Only
What does the cheapest Chattr SIM Only plan cost?+
The SIM only line starts at £5. That is the entry price for the plan rather than a promotional first bill, and No price hikes applies, so the same figure carries over to renewal. Larger data allowances are available on the same rolling billing.
Does the price go up when I renew?+
No. The stated position is No price hikes, so the monthly figure a customer starts on is the figure carried forward. Renewal pricing is therefore predictable, which is unusual among rolling SIM only deals where providers often adjust charges over time.
O2 CZ Datamanie
How much does O2 CZ Datamanie cost to start?+
Plans start at CZK 199 on prepaid billing, with plan terms of 1 month. Because billing is prepaid, you pay for the period you want and nothing beyond it, so no minimum spend has to be reached before the line is live.
What does the unlimited data plan cost?+
The Datamanie NEO plan gives unlimited data for CZK 499 and renews on a short cycle. If your data use swings from month to month, that flat cost removes the guessing, while the capped plan at CZK 199 suits steadier, lighter use.
