What is Upload speed?
In short
Upload speed is how fast your line sends data away from your home, and it decides how well calls, backups and large uploads behave.
Upload speed, measured in megabits per second, is how quickly your connection sends data away from your home, which is what video calls, cloud backups and large file uploads all depend on. Upload figures are often a long way below download figures, so a package can feel quick on pages and slow on a call. 1pBroadband's plans offer upload speeds of 15 to 115, Abissnet's run 20 to 1,000 and ALIV's run 50 to 500. Airband lists 900 on its fibre package, while AfricaOnline Namibia lists 50.
